IMPORT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR My client has an incredible opportunity to join their company as an Import Operations Coordinator with a passion for shaping seamless global logistics solutions. Based in Stockport, this permanent role comes with a competitive salary up to 40K DOE along with a host of benefits including a company pension and up to 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays. As an experienced import ocean freight coordinator, you'll be an integral part of their dynamic team of freight forwarders handling international import and export shipments via air, sea, road, and rail. Your role will involve all aspects of global import operations, quoting and booking shipments, navigating market trends and pricing, preparing crucial shipping documents, and ensuring top-notch customer service throughout the process. Be part of a driven team organizing international import and export shipments by air, sea, road, and rail Lead global import operations from start to finish, ensuring the best possible rates for customers and agents Develop strong working relationships with shipping lines, overseas agents, and other key partners Preferred Requirements: Previous experience in quoting and operations of import ocean freight forwarding is a MUST Proficiency in preparing and verifying shipping documents, invoices, and customs declarations Experience in other modes of transport (air, road, and rail) would be beneficial Ability to negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers Good relationships with supplier networks, including hauliers, shipping lines, and overseas agents Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of airfreight and customs systems (e.g. CNS, Destin8, CDS, FCL) would be advantageous Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook A positive can-do attitude, coupled with a flexible approach and eagerness to learn and progress

Working hours are - 12:00pm - 21:00pm with a 60 minute break (8 Months FTC Maternity Cover) Responsibilities: Responsible for end-to-end shipment control in and out of the road freight depot Manifest daily export trailers and send related pre-advice Update collection and deliver status Web bookings Monitor, chase and process all POD ensuring timely updates on the system Log and chase daily outturn daily reports Contact Hauliers to provide quotations Monitor and deal with transport queries Responsible for creating and issuing of run sheets Working alongside Warehouse and Transport Teams General Customer Service Data entry & general administrative duties Transport planning Adding Accruals Profile: Must be proficient in Microsoft pages including Excel Highly organised Team player Excellent communication skills Great attention to detail Be able to work under pressure Fluent in English, both written and verbal is essential Knowledge of European Groupage would advantageous but not essential If you are interested in the position, please send your CV over to us or contact the office for more information.
