Behaviour Mentor Required for Primary School in Sheffield About the role:
This Behaviour Mentor role is based in a supportive and proactive SEND/PRU school in Sheffield.
They are seeking educators to work with a wide range of needs, from children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs to more Sensory Behavioural Difficulties linked to Autism.
Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Classroom Assistant with a good standard of numeracy and literacy and excellent interpersonal skills is required for an Academy Trust based in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.
Experience within the classroom or with learning support would be an advantage but is not essential.
If you are a graduate considering a career in teaching this is an ideal stepping stone to gain valuable experience.
Engage Education are currently working in partnership with a local primary school on an exciting new SEND TA position, specifically to support learners with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs in the Hailsham area.
Starting immediately, the school is looking for an SEMH Behaviour Mentor to join them!
If successful during the probationary period, this may lead into a permanent role.
We are looking for passionate individuals who want to begin working and training as Behaviour Mentors to support our local SEND Schools in Portsmouth by helping children and young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) and some Complex Needs (Hearing impairments, Autism, Speech and language delay, ADHD).
Applications for the position are welcome from candidates of ranging experience, and training will be provided, although previous experience working with students with SEMH, particularly challenging behaviours and Trauma & Attachment will be helpful.
