Operation Olympos is the criminal investigation into the Post Office Horizon IT scandal. Opportunities have arisen for individuals with experience of serious and complex investigations to undertake MIR and HOLMES Disclosure roles. The Disclosure Officer is responsible for assessing, summarising and scheduling all material gathered on the enquiry. They ensure that comprehensive disclosure schedules are applied to the examination of revelation of all relevant unused materials, including the application of descriptions and relating to decisions of sensitivity of materials. They ensure that all materials are disclosed in line with applicable legislation and guidance Location: Surrey, Sutton Contract: 1 year Work hours:Full time/ (Part time and compressed hours can be considered - Office Hours - Hybrid Salary: £20.08 per hour Vacancies: 3 Main duties and responsibilities Create and maintain accurate and comprehensive disclosure schedules for all relevant unused materials collected during criminal investigations. Ensure compliance with applicable disclosure legislation and national guidance. Use the HOLMES2 system to locate, review, and record materials for disclosure. Ensuring Effective Disclosure: Apply correct labeling and sensitivity decisions to materials. Conduct disclosure tests and re-assessments as needed. Edit materials for disclosure to support evidence presentation. Collaboration and Support: Advise the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) on third-party issues, materials that may undermine the prosecution case, and materials assisting the defense. Maintain good working relationships with relevant parties, including Exhibits Officers and defense representatives. Essential HOLMES Disclosure Trained (latest version and used recently). Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. A good knowledge of CPIA Codes of Practice 2020, AG Guidelines on Disclosure 2024, Disclosure Manual 2022 and the Judicial Protocol on the Disclosure of Unused Material in Criminal Cases 2013.
