About the school: The school has an excellent reputation for providing a student-centred approach to supporting individuals with social, emotional and mental health needs and autism. You will be based at a new purpose-built nurture facility that provides wrap-around care, education and specialist support for students with a variety of needs including autism and ADHD. About the role: Planning and delivery of core subjects at KS1 and KS2, life skills and a specialist curriculum (including communication, interaction and social skills Adapt teaching to respond to the needs of individuals Be resilient, proactive and confident Work collaboratively with other members of staff to create the best learning environment Manage behaviour effectively and maintain an inclusive learning environment Communicate effectively with all staff, students, parents and wider members of the community. Previous experience in a SEN setting or working within a mainstream school is preferred, but not essential. You will receive training and partake in continued professional development opportunities. We have exciting opportunities to step into various classrooms; KS2, KS3, KS4 and Special Educational Needs. There will be relevant support staff in classes with learners with additional needs. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned, high quality and engaging lessons, ensuring students perform to the best of their abilities.
