Are you looking to gain experience or simply looking for something a little more flexible? Do you enjoy working with children and young people, helping them to be the best version of themselves? Are you a qualified teacher or an ECT seeking to gain some experience?

Here at Long-term Teachers, we work with a number of schools who are in need of supply teachers to cover absences, PPA and courses.

We have exciting opportunities to step into various classrooms; KS2, KS3, KS4 and Special Educational Needs. There will be relevant support staff in classes with learners with additional needs. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned, high quality and engaging lessons, ensuring students perform to the best of their abilities. You will also provide assessment and feedback to the class teacher. It is essential that you are proactive, confident and resilient.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate the work set by the absent teacher
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment
  • Adapt any work set to ensure each child is able to access the learning
  • Hold excellent curriculum knowledge
  • Hold high expectations for the children and their outcomes

You will have the opportunity to work a role that is flexible around your needs. Working for Long-term Teachers will enable you to work on a full-time or part-time basis to suit your commitments.
