You will be joining the outdoor Welcome Team based at Fell Foot Park which is situated at the bottom of Windermere, England's largest lake.
The site welcomes 150,000 visitors a year, most of whom come to enjoy the open spaces, beautiful views, outdoor activities and access to the lake.
We are a small but dedicated team, all with different skill sets who enjoy working together to help people enjoy the outdoors and introduce them to the wonderful Lake District.
This is a rare opportunity for a tree and woodland focussed Area Ranger to join us in a fixed term role at Hinton Ampner as we deliver an ambitious programme of nature recovery across our 600 hectare South Downs National Park Landscape.

We're looking for a Ranger to join our team to lead community work on the estate for Peckover House.
This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
If you're well organised with bags of initiative and good at developing relationships, then this could be the ideal role for you.
As an Assistant Ranger apprentice, you will be working as a member of the rangering team as they conserve the environment that makes the countryside both distinctive and special and help take care of our protected landscapes.
