This is an exciting time to join the Markets and Street Trading Team, following unprecedented double-digit growth, in an age where our high streets are shrinking, and retail chains are closing down Hackney is leading the way for other local authorities in expanding and growing our portfolio across the borough.

As a Shop Fronts Services Officer, you will lead on the growth of our shop front trading licences and portfolio across the borough maintaining positive and effective working relationships and lines of communication between the service and local businesses, providing a consultative sales and service approach to maximise their trading potential and the shopping experience of all residents and visitors in Hackney.

You will also be responsible for the licensing and enforcement of the borough's shop fronts, A-boards, tables and chairs as well as tackling any illegal street trading activity throughout the borough.
