Overview: Based in Leatherhead £40,000 - £45,000 salary 40 hours per week Above average annual leave allowance bank holidays Job specification: General facilities maintenance including plumbing, heating systems and swimming pool. Assisting in the full range of running repairs, building works portage and ground maintenance tasks. Driving may be necessary. Managing a team with flexible work in order to provide cover for the premises during use seven days per week. Ordering, receipt and authorisation of invoices for all materials, equipment and services within the remit of the maintenance department. Keep maintained and operating efficiently the installations and plant relating to electricity, gas, oil, heating, water, sewage, catering and other allied functions. Assist with the delivery of materials to deal with repairs. Carry out works such as the painting and the programmed repair. Make suggestions of improving the buildings and site to the benefit of the company. Report all defects, which require specialist repair, including electrical repair. Replace lights and domestic fuses as required. Inspect plumbing and report/repair defects as appropriate. Attend Health and Safety meetings. Maintain the company's Fire and Intruder Alarm systems and fulfil the duties of Fire Safety Officer. Undertake Risk Assessments. Person specification: Knowledge of basic Health and Safety legislation. Familiarity with operation of electrical/mechanical systems. Willing to undergo training as required. Ability to complete basic building repairs and maintenance. Comfortable handing heavy items. Can communicate clearly (written & verbal) and follow instructions. Can work independently and well under pressure. Role Overview: As a Facilities Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of planned and reactive building maintenance tasks across multiple sites. Provide general facilities support, such as furniture assembly, site clearance, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across designated areas. Prioritise and manage workload to complete repairs in a timely manner, adhering to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Adhere to Company health and safety policies and procedures, identifying hazards and conducting risk assessments as required to maintain a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with unit managers to minimise disruptions and coordinate maintenance activities in accordance with operational needs. Assist the Facilities Manager or Head of Maintenance as required, undertaking additional duties or tasks as delegated. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in a building trade or property maintenance role. City and Guilds craft certificate in a construction trade or a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in a relevant trade or multi-trade building maintenance operations. Multi-trade skills qualification(s) or similar certificates of competence. Full UK Driving Licence. Forklift truck licence and/or licence to drive assisted lift equipment preferred but not essential.
