Our client is a government organisation based near Farnham, currently seeking some admin support on a long term temporary basis with the potential to become permanent.
We are looking for a dedicated recovery driver based in Chertsey to safely operate their company truck and trailer, transporting customer vehicles to and from garages.
Responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles, planning efficient routes for timely collections and deliveries, inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues, and performing basic maintenance tasks.
The role also involves communicating effectively with their head office, customers, team members, adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and completing necessary paperwork and documentation for each vehicle.
To review and assess applications for blue badges (disabled parking badges) against the National Department for Transport Blue Badge Guidelines and to issue or refuse blue badge applications.
To provide an enquiry service for customers and other services about the Blue Badge Scheme.
Work Context
The blue badge team sits within Customer Services and work closely with the contact centre.
