My client, a leading Engineering company based in Wokingham are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Support Technician on a full time, permanent basis. The Support technicianposition is responsible for carrying out support functions such as machining, coating, blank modification, pre-op, finished parts, honing. Ideally, candidates will have some exposure to machining (Manual or CNC) and be open to training provided by the company. Responsibilities: Set and operate manual machines; mills. lathes grinding machines - in time operate CNC machinery. Carry out wheel dressing, measuring and balancing. Set and operate EDM machine. Set and operate edge hone machine. Support functions such as finished parts, palleting up & regrind booking in and Hardcoating Booking in, incoming work and materials. Ensure all paperwork is completed. Troubleshooting & reporting machinery problems. Skills / Qualities: An understanding of engineering drawings. An understanding of the maintenance and manufacturing environment. A positive and solution-driven approach effectively resolves problems. Ability to operate independently using own initiative as well as collaboratively in a positive team environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner and attitude. Flexible and adapts to meet the challenges of the business. Willingly takes on tasks as required. Self-motivated and confident, with a strong work ethic and enthusiasm. Takes full ownership of tasks - a diligence and commitment to completing tasks accurately with attention to detail. Team worker - willing to support others within the team and staff across the organisation to achieve team and organisational goals. Ability to lift up to 25kg as required on occasions. IT Support Engineer Location: Wokingham, Reading and Basingstoke (Some work from home, some onsite) Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 per annum (Depending on experience) Our client is a small and expanding IT support company providing support services to primary schools in Berkshire, North Hampshire and South Oxfordshire. They have recently taken on several new schools and are now looking for a support engineer to join the team. As an IT provider, they offer a large variety of products, services and support options to schools. Above all, they pride themselves on giving an excellent service to the schools and often go above and beyond. The Role Ideally, you'll be doing IT support already and better still, for a school or an MSP. As a support technician, you will be expected to help teachers, students and support staff with various IT issues, hardware, software, network, audio-visual etc. This varied role will include problem solving, hardware and software installation and project work. You will be dealing with school technicians, teachers and senior staff at schools, so a friendly and helpful manner is vital! You need to be presentable and have the ability to explain sometimes complex issues in plain English. You will be required to work from home for some of the time and expected to make site visits when and where required. All staff are expected to maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, within and outside the company.
