Position Title: Transport Administrator (Temp to Perm) Location: Crawley Pay: £11.44ph Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 (within these hours) Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning and coordinating transportation schedules. Prepare and maintain transportation documents, including delivery notes, invoices, and shipping records. Manage and update transportation databases and systems. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and vendors. Address and resolve any transportation-related issues or complaints promptly. Provide regular updates to customers on delivery statuses. Demonstrate excellent phone communication skills to ensure clear and effective interactions. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including deliveries, pickups, and fuel usage. Generate and analyse reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. Assist in promoting and enforcing safety standards and practices among drivers and staff. Maintain records related to vehicle maintenance and inspections. Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation operations. Use technology and software solutions to streamline administrative tasks and record-keeping. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within transportation or logistics. Experience with transportation management software is an asset. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software. Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate records and schedules.
