Job Opportunity: Workshop Supervisor - Wood Mill
About the Role
We're seeking a proactive, hands-on Workshop Supervisor to lead a team in our wood mill, ensuring seamless workflow, high quality, and top safety standards.
This role involves managing a team of 10-12 and collaborating closely with other departments to keep production running smoothly.
Our client is a well recognised bespoke manufacturing business located close to Newcastle, and we are very pleased to be supporting them in their search for a Production Supervisor to join their manufacturing team.
The opportunity
You will have responsibility for managing a team of skilled operators as well as working closely with all other departments to ensure ease of product flow through the manufacturing process whilst ensuring the highest of manufacturing quality in accordance with customer expectations.
Reporting directly to the site Production Manager, you will play a key role in the development of process and efficiency within a specific manufacturing area to ensure custom-made products are produced to extremely high expectations.
Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (5.45am store opening), afternoons, late evenings (10pm store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview
As the Site Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising a section of a works project reporting to the Contracts Manager /Site Agent / Client for day to day activities whilst on site.
