About the Role:
We're seeking a proactive, hands-on Workshop Supervisor to lead a team in our wood mill, ensuring seamless workflow, high quality, and top safety standards. This role involves managing a team of 10-12 and collaborating closely with other departments to keep production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Collaborate across departments to maintain efficient workflow through the wood mill, ensuring timely support for other stages in production.
  • Team Coordination: Assign tasks, monitor performance, and attend daily production meetings to resolve issues.
  • Material Management: Assess and order materials to align with production needs.
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality standards throughout the process to meet customer expectations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Oversee a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and proper machine usage.
  • Training & Development: Provide mentorship, coaching, and skill development opportunities, encouraging a multi-skilled workforce.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing or supervisory role, with wood-working experience beneficial.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methods.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in IT systems like email and Excel.
