Teaching Assistant Start September 2024 Secondary School based in Twickenham A small secondary school based in Twickenham are looking for a Teaching assistant who has a good understanding of SEN, to be able support children age 11-16 across their mainstream classes. The Teaching assistant role starts in September, trials and interviews will be held asap. Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small group Carry out assessments and observations as instructed by teachers Support with reading and writing - with a focus on students with special needs. As a Teaching Assistant, the students you support will vary age 11-16 Write progress reports for students with SEN and varied abilities Ideal skills and requirements: B or above in GCSE Maths, English or Science Experience working with children in any setting/ understanding of SEN Experience working in a care setting e.g support worker or healthcare assistant Enthusiastic attitude towards learning.
