Job Advertisement: Compressed Air Engineer Position: Compressed Air Engineer Department: Engineering Department Location: Burton Upon Trent Core Hours: 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (incl. 30min lunch) Holiday Entitlement: 20 days per annum plus public holidays FULL TIME - COMPRESSED AIR ENGINEER Our client, Hi-line Industries Limited, is offering an excellent opportunity for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join a local organization specializing in the innovative design, manufacture, supply, and installation of energy-efficient Compressed Air Purification Equipment. The successful candidate will become an integral part of their Service Team, working in a dynamic and exciting environment. You will deliver first-rate compressed air engineering services to customers, providing advice, diagnostics, installation, routine planned maintenance, and emergency help on a range of compressed air purification equipment. The Successful Applicant Should: Ideally have previous experience in air compressors or a related industry. Be able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate the customer care skills necessary to service an established customer base and support Hi-line's distributor network. Be IT literate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have the ability to work as part of a team with a flexible approach to working hours. Hold a full clean driving license. Salary: An excellent remuneration rate will be paid to the right individual, above the local average. A company vehicle and fringe benefits associated with a large company are provided. Core Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:30 - 17:00, Monday - Friday Job Specification: Main Duties Will Include: Carry out service work including warranties, repairs, maintenance, and commissioning of compressor and compressed air equipment. Carry out risk assessments and write method statements. Handle telephone enquiries from clients on outstanding and ongoing service work orders and maintenance call-out responses in a comprehensive and timely manner. Adhere to all regulatory Health & Safety requirements and follow client procedures. Keep the customer informed and ensure that any work is carried out with their approval. Project a positive customer service image through competent procedures, personal presentation, and communication. Maintain accurate service data through diligent use of service documentation and technical data. Liaise with the Service Manager and office-based personnel to achieve a clear understanding of specific job requirements before setting out on a job. Keep the service office informed of any changes in plans/timescales and share solutions with colleagues. Communicate with sales and service management regarding customer issues and opportunities. Liaise with the Engineering team on service-related items ensuring a clear and effective line of communication is maintained. Work methodically and maintain a clean and tidy work area, aiming to complete repairs on a first-hit visit, completing work to a very high standard. Take part in technical training as required (may involve travel within or outside the UK). Cover holiday/absence for Service Engineers as and when requested. Provide additional general duties as requested by the Service Director. Be competent in using a tablet or mobile phone for service reporting on their FieldMotion accounts.
