We are currently recruiting a Home Sales Officer to join us on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Legal Property Manager, you will be responsible for processing right to buy and right to acquire applications and liaising with customers both face to face and over the phone to discuss their applications. Responsibilities Process Right to Buy applications from enquiry to final preparation for transfer to conveyancing Point of contact for our customers who wish to apply to buy their home under the Right to Buy scheme Ensure compliance with Housing Legislation and Incommunities policy Process applications and ensure that any statutory timescales are complied with for the service of notices Liaise with officers in other Authorities, Departments and Sections to collect and collate on individuals and property for the processing of applications Record, maintain and file applications, within a computerised system Compile as necessary and check before despatch all documentation relating to quotations, offers, discounts and sale plans Liaise with Solicitors, Estate Agents and Customers in the progress of Incommunities House Sales, post completion and the Landlord's Right to First Refusal You will be a star performer if you.. Have knowledge and understanding of an office environment and be proficient in data systems. Have familiarity with basic housing terms and home purchase i.e.. mortgages, valuation, conveyancing. Having the experience working with a housing organisation would be beneficial. Have good writing and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to help deliver an excellent Right to Buy Home Sales service. Possess GCSE at Grade A-C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics. Work as part of a team and department Requirements Demonstrable experience of delivering excellent customer service. The ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a team. The ability to update and maintain computerised databases. The knowledge of Right to Buy is desirable. The ability to learn new systems and office routines. Experience within the housing sector is desirable.
