Due to continued growth, a successful manufacturer of plastic products and components is actively seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team Working in a busy production environment, your role will be to maintain and repair Injection Moulding machinery, ancillary and plant equipment, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum and production quotas are met. £35,000 - £40,000, Day shift Monday-Friday, Life Assurance, 33 days holiday As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer your duties will include: Ensuring that all plant and equipment are functioning correctly and optimised. Dealing with breakdowns in a timely manner. Planned preventative maintenance. Identifying and implementing improvements with machinery and processes which will result in time/cost savings. Ensure regulations and standards are adhered to. Maintaining records, documentation and organisation of data. To be successful in the role of Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will: Hold an engineering qualification (ONC/HNC, BTEC, City & Guilds) or be a time served engineer. Have 17th/18th Edition. Have a solid knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical machinery and plastics manufacturing machinery (injection moulding, blow moulding or extrusion). Possess good fault-finding abilities and resolving issues in a breakdown environment. Our client is proud to work with some huge prestigious FMCG brands across the UK on a national basis. Due to contract wins and organic growth they are hiring experienced quality engineers. You will predominantly be covering areas around Northern England covering Liverpool and Hull via Manchester, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield. You will be completing mainly Maintenance & servicing with a small amount of Install work. Responsibilities: You will be working on Freezers & Cold Rooms, Chillers, Ice Machines and Bottle coolers. You will be completing day to day maintenance, PPMs, and reactive work across the region's portfolio. You will be supporting prestigious brands within the FMCG sector such as distribution sites. Alongside Maintenance and remedial work, you will also be looking at a tiny amount of Install work and support large projects when needed. You will be working on your own or with a small team of engineers across other disciplines. Diagnosing and repairing faults in refrigeration units promptly. Ensuring that all jobs re completed to the highest standards and in line with company expectations. You will work in line with Health and safety, working closely with other engineers and subcontractors when needed. Requirements: Proven experience as a Chiller Engineer or similar role within the refrigeration industry. Ideally an NVQ or diploma within Installing & Maintaining Refrigeration System. An advantage would be a F-Gas and other related qualifications with Pasma, and I Path. Proficient in reading and interrupting technical diagrams and manuals with strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and their components. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills and comfortable using handheld devices for logging. Full UK driver's license with strong customer service skills.
