SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits (see below)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who is a fully qualified (17th edition) time served electrician, with both mechanical and PLC experience.
Working as an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for all aspects of fault diagnosing, electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance of the machinery and equipment within the Fabrics Production Department.
As an Electrical Engineer you will carry out electrical/mechanical installation work for new plant, machinery, equipment and services and will assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of the department.

DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the Electrical Engineer will include:
- Maintain all electrical/mechanical equipment on site including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous and ensure that documentation and records are kept accordingly
- Carry out electrical/mechanical installation work as required for new plant, machinery, equipment and services
- Meet requirements of all departments at the Stockport site, as seconded in their daily operations by carrying out various electrical, mechanical, and miscellaneous works
- Be proactively involved in monitoring the condition of services and machinery reporting defects to the General Manager Fabrics immediately
- Carry out portable/fixed appliance testing in line with current regulations and keep records accordingly
- Carry out all machinery planned maintenance in accordance with the instruction of the General Manager Fabrics
- Action specific work as detailed on maintenance/project request forms
- Diagnose and repair (where possible), electrical/mechanical faults that occur in the building services, plant, machinery and other electrical/mechanical equipment
- Assist with the training of apprentices and any other training needs of the department
- Supervise contractors as and when required
- Comply with the Health and Safety Policy at all times, including keeping workspaces clean and tidy
ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Fully qualified time served electrician
- Current 17th edition IEE regulation certificate
- PLC experience
- Mechanical experience
- Proven track record in a similar role
- Fault finding, diagnostics, mechanical repair and maintenance experience
- The ability to identify potential issues and advise on corrective course of measures
- Be a focused team player with a strong character
