SEND Senior Manager Preston (Remote) £39 per hour umbrella Contract (3 months) The Role: To work in collaboration with children, young people, their families, education providers and other stakeholders to maximise outcomes for children and young people at a strategic and operational level across the local area. To work alongside other senior managers and the head of service at a strategic level to support the development of a progressive and inclusive approach to special educational needs in Lancashire. To work alongside other managers within the service to ensure consistency of practice across the county and to promote the development of a supportive collaborative culture across team leaders and within the service. To lead and manage developmental projects that address the priorities of the service and local area. To provide effective management of the SEND teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs. The Candidate: Evidence of managing SEND services or elements of a service successfully Proven experience of providing direction and clear vision to those you work with to ensure service excellence Evidence of the ability to provide effective and visual leadership to a team of professionals A proven track record of delivering functional improvements, including experience of planning and budget/financial management Evidence of CPD relating to strategic work, maintaining a position at the leading edge of own professional function and applying this within the organisation. Experience of planning and managing work to meet individual, team and service objectives, whilst achieving quality and value for money. Experience of working to support other practitioners outside of your primary organisation and which might include for example peripatetic or outreach work Experience of seeking feedback from stakeholders about services provided that has been used to undertake/make recommend continuous improvements to services.

We require a Senior Facilities Manager to cover an existing workload within Lancashire Constabulary , based in Hutton HQ (Office based). This is an interim position for an initial 3-6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload. Qualification in a relevant Health and Safety area, e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH. Membership of professional body (e.g. IWFM, CIOB). An understanding of capital accounting, use of Red Book valuations and RICS service charges code of practice. Experience of preparing and delivering management information, briefings and reports. Experience of working to deadlines and the ability to plan and organise workloads to achieve tight timescales, often in changing circumstances. Experience of managing, motivating and developing staff in order to achieve business objectives. Experience of working on own initiative, investigating problems, developing solutions and taking appropriate timely actions to resolve them. Negotiating and influencing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience of communicating effectively across a wide spectrum of people, both individually and in groups. Experience of using full functionality of Microsoft Software Applications including Microsoft Teams and Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM).
