Senior Facilities Manager

We require a Senior Facilities Manager to cover an existing workload within Lancashire Constabulary , based in Hutton HQ (Office based).

This is an interim position for an initial 3-6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

Job Purpose:

  • To provide leadership, ownership, accountability and direction across the Facilities Management department to support delivery of the constabulary's strategic aims and objectives.
  • To ensure delivery of an FM service in line with IWFM principles and guidance by setting expectations, enforcing standards, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality, compliance management, performance management, staff development etc.
  • To ensure clear processes and compliance management achieving value for money, taking responsibility and being accountable of works and roles across the Facilities Management department.
  • To be responsible for leading positive cultural changes across the workforce and ensuring that Standards of Professional Behaviour are embedded.

Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role:

  • Degree in Business or Facilities Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualification in a relevant Health and Safety area, e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH.
  • Membership of professional body (e.g. IWFM, CIOB).
  • An understanding of capital accounting, use of Red Book valuations and RICS service charges code of practice.
  • Experience of preparing and delivering management information, briefings and reports.
  • Experience of working to deadlines and the ability to plan and organise workloads to achieve tight timescales, often in changing circumstances.
  • Experience of managing, motivating and developing staff in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience of working on own initiative, investigating problems, developing solutions and taking appropriate timely actions to resolve them.
  • Negotiating and influencing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of communicating effectively across a wide spectrum of people, both individually and in groups.
  • Experience of using full functionality of Microsoft Software Applications including Microsoft Teams and Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM).
  • Promote and comply with our obligations under the Equality Act 2010, Data Protection and Health & safety legislation in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Equality, Data Protection Principles.

This role offers a competitive salary of £24.19 per day PAYE (Inside IR35) and you'll be working via Reed who offer great benefits such as discounts, cashback offers and more as well as weekly pay.
