With detailed analysis and added value by way of board pack detail you shall provide the senior leadership team with valuable reporting to enable the decision making process Main Role Duties: Production of detailed monthly management accounts for a number of entities Balance sheet preparation, reconciliation and analysis Assisting in the Budgeting and Forecasting process across the business units Cash flow reporting Assist with year-end audits Ensure key controls are maintained and developed Ad hoc accounting tasks Experience & Qualifications Required to apply: To be considered you shall be CIMA /ACCA/ ACA qualified with strong technical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a management accounting position. QBE candidates shall be considered. You shall be able to demonstrate strong Excel skills being competent in the use of VLOOKUP's and pivot tables. With excellent attention to detail, a proven ability to work under pressure and with experience of working with extremely confidential and highly sensitive information, you shall be proficient at developing strong working relationships across an organisation. Your new company Your new company is an SME in the Blackburn area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Management Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis. Your new role Prepare, analyse and present monthly financial statements, including the P&L, balance sheet, management reports and cash flow statements. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to optimise financial performance. Write insightful and accurate commentaries and explanations to accompany all reporting. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record keeping. Ensure banks are reconciled and cash correctly managed across multiple accounts and entities. Multi-entity accounting and reporting, including group consolidations. By managing a small team you will be responsible for all transactions to trial balance (including aspects of payroll). Document, develop and enhance strong internal controls and implement procedures to safeguard financial assets. Develop systems and automation to reduce processing time, reduce error rates and speedier real time reporting. Business Partnering - work pro-actively and collaboratively with other operational managers and departments to provide financial insights, cost control and support strategic decision-making. Manage a small finance team. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and relevant accounting regulations. What you'll need to succeed A minimum of 5 years of experience in transactional finance and management accounting role, preferably within a service based industry. Fully or part-qualified (ACA, CGMA, ACCA or similar) with a working understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools. Team management experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Fast paced, adaptive and versatile working. Good written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
