We're searching for a talented individual to join our dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis. About the Role: As an IT Technician, you'll be our tech guru, ensuring seamless operations and providing top-notch support to both schools and businesses. Your experience and knowledge of these sectors will be invaluable. We're looking for someone who aligns with our company ethos and brings a positive, proactive attitude. Key Responsibilities: Offer technical support for computer hardware, software, and network issues. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems promptly. Set up and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Perform routine maintenance tasks like system updates, backups, and security patches. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Respond to IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and proper escalation. Document technical procedures and troubleshooting steps for reference and training. Collaborate with IT team members on projects and initiatives. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements. Requirements: Minimum of 3 year's experience as an IT Technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software applications. Expertise in firewall management, network design, infrastructure, and server vitalisation. Experience with LANs and system administration tasks. Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues. Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.). Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical users. Relevant certifications (CompTIA A, Network, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus. Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for maintenance, upgrades, or emergencies. Full driving license and access to a vehicle for on-site visits around the North West.
