We provide a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment with ample opportunities for career growth, along with a competitive salary, staff discount, life assurance, and 33 days of holiday Hours - Monday to Friday 11:30am-8pm, Alternative Saturdays 8am-12noon Jewson, 58 Craigentinny Avenue North, Edinburgh EH6 7LJ Key Responsibilities Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values Help to prepare customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a Forklift Truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided) Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work What's in it for you? To achieve this they use a wide variety of personalised support, assist people to promote their independence, support people with complex needs and often changed situations to ensure they have the maximum level of choice and control available to them, promoting the principles of The Care Act and Mental Capacity Act. The role is fast paced, working with adults in the hospital to plan / coordinate a safe and timely discharge OR working with adults in a community setting who are needing an urgent assessment to reduce the risk of being admitted.
