The client provides supported accommodation and community support services to adults with mild learning disabilities.
One of the largest housing associations in the UK is recruiting for a Housing Team Leader to manage their support workers in the provision of a tenancy sustainment and housing support service to their residents with mild learning disabilities, across Tonbridge.
My client, a national social housing provider, seek an experienced manager to lead by example coaching, motivating and assisting the Learning Disabilities (age 40) team to deliver support services of exceptional quality which meet the needs of individual customers and stakeholders whilst exceeding performance targets.
Commissioned contracts
Support the Project Manager to ensure the terms of commissioned contracts and service specifications are met.
The Role
To deputise in the absence of the Project Manager to ensure continuous delivery in all aspects of the service.
Your role in the team would involve providing administrative support service to Managers and Qualified Social Work staff and to assist in the smooth running of the Reception and Safe Care Service's Social Work Teams.
Correspondence on behalf of the line manager and other staff
Duties and Responsibilities include
Produce all types of word processing, from handwritten and recorded sources, drafting routine.
Working as the Service Lead, you will be leading and managing a team of Support Workers to deliver excellent supported housing services and/or housing management services to a range of service user groups.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Leading and delivering services which comply with the regulatory framework.
Meeting service quality standards and ensuring the team are adhering to all operational and policy standards.
This role will require candidates to support 3 or 4 properties and manage support workers around the Kent area.
The service users will be vulnerable adults in the criminal justice system and an enhanced DBS will be required, the hours of working will be 40 hours per week 8-4, 9-5 then the on call hours 5pm-8am, 8am-8am on a weekend
Travel will be required and a candidate who can drive is preferable and you will be expected to have your own vehicle and business insurance, mileage can be claimed from the nearest base office to the other offices you visit.
