My client, a forward thinking and customer focused vehicle management business, is looking for an experienced Accident Management Engineer to join their Operations team. The main purpose of the role is to audit estimates submitted through Audatex with a focus on repair method, cost control, vehicle downtime and client specific procedures. To carry out management of claims within the department accurately and in accordance with quality procedures and insurance industry standards. To additionally provide support when required for all areas of the business that interact with the department. Responsibilities:- To engineer estimates submitted through Audatex to ensure that costs are accurate and justified taking into account repair method, vehicle downtime and client procedures; To ensure that emails & telephone calls are dealt with promptly and efficiently, recording FNOL details accurately on the database. To liaise with other departments to ensure efficient recovery of un-driveable vehicles to the approved repairer network; To instruct the approved repairer network to arrange estimates in relation to each claim; To ensure the approved repairer network are progressing claims in line with the agreed timescales; To review damage claims to hire vehicles, ensuring claims for damage are realistic and justified; To process accident claims according to clients procedures ensuring all relevant communications are sent to insurance companies and any other relevant party/parties; To handle Total Loss claims arranging valuations, salvage bids/classifications and disposal; To progress each claim accurately to ensure work is completed in the specified time-scale, providing updates to the Account Executives as and when required; To liaise with our Business Partners on new and existing claims as and when required. The ideal candidate will have experience of insurance claims and/or accident repair function with the industry as well as working within a quality framework. It is essential that you possess a high level of industry knowledge and are able to produce accurate work to tight deadlines under pressure. You should be highly proficient in MS Office applications with the confidence and ability to learn new systems and technology. Desirable: ATA VDA, City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ levels in motor vehicle related subject
