Senior Residential Support Worker - Horsham We are looking for passionate Senior Support Workers to join a Residential Children's home located at a beautiful location in Horsham. Due to the location of this home - the ideal candidate will have to be a driver, as there are no public transport routes! They support children with varying Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The home provides a calm and nurturing homely environment for children and sets out to improve the lives and well-being of all children in their care. This home will provide training and can support you through completing your Level 4 Diploma if you do not already have a level 3 or 4 in place, as well as being provided all necessary training and inductions when starting. Main Responsibilities: To lead shifts in the absence of a team leader. Administer medication in line with medication policy and the individual's care plans. Ensure all personal care tasks are carried out in line with the needs, wishes and preferences of the individual, following the care plan. Support people to take an active role in the community by accessing local facilities and wider community resources in the spirit of social inclusion. Support the development of person centred planning, ensuring each individual's plan has meaningful and achievable goals. Support people to develop and expand social networks and friendships. To support people through the transition process. Contribute to/attend reviews and multi-disciplinary meetings. Work with individuals to promote healthy lifestyles Work in partnership with care managers and other professionals to maximise quality of life for individuals. Develop positive relationships with family and carers. Work in line with the company's Child Protection; Prevention of Abuse Policy and Whistle Blowing Policy to ensure that people are kept safe at all times.
