Summary The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea-rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to join us. We're looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member. In this role, you'd be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out. Wherever possible, we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible. The role will include weekends and Bank Holidays, however, there are no evenings or split shifts. Salary: £11.50 per hour. What you'll be doing As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You'll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the caf. With your love of working with people, your can-do' attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you'll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that's constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial. You'll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You'll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you'll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food. We'll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. This is a lively, forward-thinking property and the team is looking for engaging people who will enjoy this fast-paced environment. What you'll be doing As an Active Outdoors Assistant you'll have an enthusiasm for delivering great active experiences in the outdoors. You'll be instrumental in supporting the outdoor activity offer here, helping as many people as possible engage with the outdoors and enjoy Hardwick. You'll help our visitors access our Summer of Play offer, as well as ensuring that equipment is maintained and stored appropriately. There will be a variety of duties which range from welcoming and engaging with visitors, providing great information about the property and the activities on offer, setting up of equipment, leading participation and generally supporting the property to enable its Active Outdoors offer to be the best visitor experience it can be.
