Automotive Senior team leader Are you passionate about ensuring the highest quality standards in the automotive industry? Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and have a strong eye for quality control? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Shift Leader, working on behalf of our esteemed client, an automotive manufacturer! Responsibilities Supervise shift Team Leaders and ensure successful coordination, organization, and execution of quality containment and rework projects. Ensure only compliant parts are passed to or accepted on-line, preventing disruptions to the customer's build process. Conduct inductions for new employees on-site. Train shift teams on applicable quality inspection and rework standards, including the use of e-Apps Gather data for plant reports, including end-of-shift reports and JLR-specific documents. Update and maintain the shift planner, confirming manning requirements. Conduct random checks and layered audits to ensure process adherence and compliance with quality standards. Ensure daily start-up and zone conformance audits are conducted as required. Coordinate quality control, rework, and logistics with Team Leaders. Maintain max/min PPE levels on-site. Deliver projects on-time, within budget, and within scope. Inspect and rework parts as needed. Liaise with OEMs, customers, and suppliers as necessary. Attend specific daily/weekly meetings. Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational certification in automotive-related fields is a plus. Previous experience in the automotive industry or a related field. Experience in a supervisory position. Solid understanding of automotive production processes, quality standards, and inspection techniques. Proficiency in using various inspection tools, equipment, and measuring instruments. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and non-conformities. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the client's cross-functional teams. Knowledge of relevant regulations, industry standards, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is advantageous. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Flexibility to work in shifts and overtime as needed.
