A well established school for children aged 6-11 with ADHD and/or Autism are welcoming applicants to their role as a Behaviour Support Assistant who are able to demonstrate a good academic background, along with the characteristics of resilience, empathy, creativity and problem-solving.
You will be working with children with varying cognitive behaviours which will require you to develop a strong rapport with the children to enable you to understand their triggers and what captures their imagination.

We are looking for passionate individuals who want to begin working and training as Behaviour Mentors to support our local SEND Schools in Littlehampton by helping children and young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) and some Complex Needs (Hearing impairments, Autism, Speech and language delay, ADHD).
Applications for the position are welcome from candidates of ranging experience, and training will be provided, although previous experience working with students with SEMH, particularly challenging behaviours and Trauma & Attachment will be helpful.
