Job Title: Project Officer - Transformation & Improvement Location: Lambeth, London Contract: 3-month hybrid contract Salary: £190-£200/day About the Role: As a Project Officer for Transformation & Improvement, you will play a crucial role in supporting the coordination, planning, control, and delivery of projects and programs. You will be responsible for collecting and maintaining program data, developing and maintaining processes and systems, and ensuring successful project outcomes are achieved on time and within budget. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders across Children's Services to enhance planning and delivery processes and contribute to the establishment of a children's services program office. Key Responsibilities: Support the coordination, planning, control, and delivery of projects and programs. Develop and maintain processes and systems to drive projects and programs forward effectively. Improve planning and delivery processes within Children's Services programs. Work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to deliver program outcomes. Provide support to the Programme Manager in the establishment of a children's services program office. Carry out various project support functions including developing and maintaining project plans, risks registers, issue logs, and reporting systems. Collect, chase, and maintain information, and develop a records library to ensure documentation is filed appropriately. Conduct research, benchmarking exercises, audits, and data collection and analysis to inform decision-making and adopt best practices. Key Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of project/programme management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Familiarity with the project development life cycle and typical problems associated with organisation-wide projects and programs. Ability to command respect from colleagues and stakeholders through a professional approach to work. Relevant Experience: High degree of computer literacy, including intermediate knowledge of the MS Office Suite and project management software. Strong analytical skills with experience in research, report production, and using findings to inform improvements. Good interpersonal skills with a track record of developing successful working relationships with team members and stakeholders at all levels. Excellent organisational skills, flexibility, and adaptability with a history of delivering to tight deadlines without compromising on quality. Project Management Officer - Operational Change project Temporary 3 months £24.85 (PAYE - inclusive of holiday pay) We are currently recruiting for a Project Management Officer for 3 months initially, you will be project managing a change management project within people and culture initiative. Key duties: Lead on the coordination and project management of People & Culture initiative, establish and evolve in line with organisational priorities and demands. Leading on the design, implementation and monitoring of this projects using project management tools and techniques. Maintain robust project management documentation. Design and execute communication plans that keep stakeholders informed and engaged. Proactively function as a conduit to project governance structures, identifying and mitigate risks associated with the change process. Reporting, measuring results and communicating in a clear and compelling manner. Confidently chair project steering, working or ad hoc groups and provide timely reporting as agreed. Experience required: Experience of project managing organisation wide change programmes, projects or strategic initiatives Experience of leading on internal communications of change initiatives or projects Experience of implementing strategic initiatives, including but not limited to continuous improvement, efficiency, optimisation and effectiveness initiatives. Ability to meet deadlines and keep projects moving. Ability to work autonomously with confidence, to take decisions where needed and to know appropriate escalation as required.
