Office based this role will provide opportunity to make a noticeable difference across the organisation. Managing a small team, your duties will be varied. A fast paced business, no day will be the same. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare weekly trading reports / dashboards & weekly CEO updates Prepare monthly presentations on the trading performance Identify the key trends and drivers of the result Work alongside the management accounts team to understand monthly performance by site, by brand, by location Review of P&L cost items on a regular basis to develop understanding of cost base and present key trends. Partner with key stakeholders Actively look to improve reporting impact & efficiency in preparation by maximising the use/potential of the SAP analytics tool and aiming to reduce reliance on spreadsheets, manual manipulation of data Work closely with the Country Manager to optimise performance, cost control and improve profitability Provide support and information to improve decision-making Quarterly forecasts Lead and manage the annual budget preparation & presentation Management responsibility of 4 direct reports, including the development of roles and responsibilities. Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply: Qualified by experience, or through a formal qualification, the successful candidate shall possess strong technical accounting skills across month-end, analytics and will be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders on all levels. Part of one of the largest divisions in this group, you shall be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you shall work alongside experienced and knowledgeable senior finance professionals. Main role duties: Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated. Support variance and trend analysis. Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income. Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making for local teams. Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately in line with Group requirements. Support in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts as well as flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams. Support the fixed asset finance team with information and guidance for project accounting. supervise junior/trainee accountant staff and assist in their development, taking ownership of your teams work and outputs. Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply: To be considered for this role you shall be a part qualified/qualified accountant (CIMA ACA ACCA) or QBE with experience in a similar management accounting role. With strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills you shall also have strong excel skills with an eye for the detail. You will also have the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
