SF Recruitment are recruting an MP&L Manager for a global autmotive tier 1 in Coventry. Key Responsibilities: MRP Control & Efficiency: Establish and monitor procedures, methods, projects, policies, and programs aimed at improving MRP control efficiency and company profitability. Warehouse Management: Develop robust material labeling, racking, picking, and kitting processes within a compact in-plant warehouse layout. Quality Assurance Collaboration: Ensure only quality parts are delivered from suppliers to the assembly plant in collaboration with the Quality Manager. Shortage Resolution: Conduct daily part shortage meetings with the Purchase Manager and quickly resolve shortfalls with suppliers. BOM Management: Handle and manage complex vehicle Bill of Material (BOM) documents, including complex assembly levels and multiple logistic suppliers. Inventory Control: Maintain and control appropriate inventory levels both internally and with a significant European Logistics provider. Cross-Departmental Communication: Advise department managers of potential problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement. Business Plan Objectives: Meet or exceed all objectives and requirements of the business plan. Supplier Correspondence: Follow up on correspondence with suppliers verbally and/or in writing as required. Employee Involvement: Participate in and provide expert advice to Employee Involvement Teams, Kaizen Teams, and occasionally participate on Problem Solving Teams. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety rules and housekeeping principles. Correct substandard conditions and practices identified in monthly plant safety audits. Material Sourcing: Assist in sourcing materials, components, outside processes, and contracts. Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of the company and its business. Cost Management: Monitor industry pricing and product cost to maintain overall company profitability. Customs Compliance: Stay informed on changes to Customs Procedures and inform relevant departments, especially regarding NAFTA and the Automotive Trade Agreement. Standards Compliance: Work in compliance with TS16949 Standards and ISO 14001. Ensure due diligence regarding environmental matters and minimize harmful incidents. Basic Requirements:. Industry Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in Materials or Logistics within a manufacturing environment, preferably within automotive or a similar industry. Legislative Knowledge: Good knowledge of Government legislation in Health & Safety, Labour Relations, Employment Standards, Human Rights, Pay Equity, etc. System Knowledge: Good working knowledge of Purchasing and MRP systems. Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving techniques and methods. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, suppliers, sub-contractors, engineers, etc. Supervisory Skills: Supervisory skills in Interaction and Communication, Orientation, Company Policies, Absenteeism, and Negotiation. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
Goods in/ FLT Driver CV2 £24,000-25,000 Metalis are working in partnership with a manufacturing company who are looking for a skilled and detail orientated individual to join their team due to growth within the business and a healthy order book. This position would be working within their warehouse as a Goods in/Goods out operative and FLT driver. Job Responsibilities: To ensure that incoming goods are received, basic checks carried out, relevant supervisors informed for detailed inspection, and put away correctly and quickly. To ensure that production have all the materials they need at all times, so that production efficiencies are kept as high as possible. To marshal goods from the production sections ready for loading onto the lorries. To Shunt and load BMDS vehicles, load external haulier vehicles and oversea containers and vehicles in a safe and timely manner, with the correct goods planned for delivery, aiming to minimise transit damage To store and control all waste and recycling on site, and to maintain the site in a neat, tidy and safe manner. To ensure that congestion on site is minimised by controlling vehicle flow. To ensure that the highest safety standards are maintained around all vehicles at all times. To ensure that appropriate pauses in loading activity are maintained during peak traffic times. To maintain high standards of all aspects of forklift usage, including safe usage, training, and maintainence Receive arriving delivery vehicles, direct them to their unloading destination if necessary Carry out basic inspections to incoming goods, label them if required, and deliver and store them a their final storage location Handle and report non-conforming material correctly. Respond appropriately to potentially dangerous situations such as unsafe arriving loads, or chemical leaks. Complete relevant inspection paperwork, file it correctly, and book goods in to AX in a timely manne Marshall all outgoing products to appropriate places, and complete marshalling paperwork correctly. Flag potential problems at the earliest opportunity to production supervisors/transport supervisor. Report goods which are not ready, not labelled, or incorrect for any reason. Carry out daily yard checks for undelivered goods, and report any immediately. Move and Load delivery vehicles, completing paperwork for each vehicle. Carry out basic checks on all goods during loading, checking for damage, or obvious quantity errors. Ensure that vehicles are not overloaded, or that axles are not overloaded, and report potential overloading problems. Ensure that all paperwork is completed and filed correctly. Report goods which are not available for loading at the earliest opportunity. Skills & Experienece: Must have an external counterbalance license Proven communication and diplomacy skills Able to drive counterbalance / combi forklifts Well organised and methodical Able to plan work to balance conflicting priorities and meet deadlines. To be able to work flexible hours, including some unsocial hours.
