About the Job
To provide high-quality and specialist research, policy briefing and communications support to the Members of the London Assembly's Labour Group, by obtaining, analysing and producing information as required: proactively generating policy briefings, issues papers; and providing a full range of media support for Members.
TfN's Research and Economics Team undertakes cutting-edge research and analysis to understand the transport needs of the diverse places and populations of the North of England, and to make the case for strategic interventions in the transport network.
Our research has a central role in providing the evidence base for TfN's Strategic Transport Plan, which sets out TfN's long-term vision for a transformed North of England.
It also contributes to the development of business cases for major road and rail interventions across the North, and supports Local Transport Authorities in developing high quality local transport networks.
This Policy Officer position will focus on both Construction and Education policies, supporting and taking the lead on a broad range of issues, including Net Zero, Future Skills and Diversity.
