About the Job:
To provide high-quality and specialist research, policy briefing and communications support to the Members of the London Assembly's Labour Group, by obtaining, analysing and producing information as required: proactively generating policy briefings, issues papers; and providing a full range of media support for Members.
Key Information:
- Contract duration: 3 months (possibility for extension)
- Location: City Hall, (3 days each week in the office)
- Hourly Pay rate: £24.56 PAYE or £31.31 Umbrella
- Working days: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
- Start date: ASAP
- Client: Greater London AuthorityKey Responsibilities- Provide high quality research, policy, communications, advice and support to the Assembly Member(s) across the range of their GLA functions, and to their Research and Support Officer
- Produce policy or constituency issue reports to publication standard
- Act as the key point of contact for GLA officers in respect of London Assembly scrutiny activity related to the Group Members' roles and interests
- Develop and implement comprehensive, proactive and effective communications strategies for assigned Assembly Members, working in close coordination with the Stakeholder and Communications Officer and relevant Research & Support Officer at all times
- To act and manage resources allocated to the job in accordance with the Authority's policies and Code of Ethics and Standards
