Keep GSE workshop and equipment clean and serviceable at all times, reporting an Operate and drive all types of GSE - motorised and non-motorised. Respond to out of hours maintenance requests on all GSE. Provide trouble- HGV/GSE Technician Edinburgh Airport Working Hours: The working week for this position is Monday to Friday, moving to a 4 week roster after obtaining an Airside Pass. The 4 week roster is as follows: Variation of hours: 06:00 - 14:30 / 08:00 - 16:30 Week 1 Monday to Friday Week 2 Monday to Friday Week 3 Monday to Sunday Week 4 Wednesday to Friday The Role: This is a varied position where you will play a crucial part in the success of the company by offering your expert mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment, such as towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators and a variety of specialist, unique vehicles. The suitable candidate will be mechanically skilled and a good problem solver in order to effectively maintain on site equipment. The Person: Self-motivated with good organisational skills Clear understanding of Health and Safety systems Ability to work under your own initiative Good team player, willing to listen and take new ideas on board Qualifications and Experience: Experience working on commercial plant vehicles City and Guilds certification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent (essential) Welding (desirable) You will need to: Be able to demonstrate your Right to Work in the UK Be able to obtain an airside pass which will require you to undergo a criminal record check and 5-year history verification Hold a UK driving licence Provide certifications for all qualifications
