The role holder is responsible for providing a comprehensive and high quality post award accounting service for the Client European Commission [EC] research portfolio.
The role holder provides a wide-ranging specialist support on all aspects of EC funded research projects, including liaising with, and providing expert financial and administrative advice to academic staff, departmental administrators, external collaborators and the European Commission Directorates.
They manage the post award financial monitoring of each departments EC research portfolio, liaising with the department, and providing a consistent and visible support.
You will support and advise elected members and officers on complex, high-profile matters that span planning, capital programs, workforce change, new legislation, and implementing the Grenfell Tower Inquiry recommendations.
