Job Title: Payroll Manager Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, office based Location: Halesowen Description: A well established, forward thinking and growing firm of accountants, is seeking a confident and proactive Payroll Manager to work with their payroll team. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in accountancy and business, and will be keen to work for a company who will encourage and support personal development and training and give you the opportunity for career progression. Key Duties: Managing a portfolio of payroll clients. Supervising and supporting the payroll team. Preparing monthly update reports for Directors. Handling client queries with HMRC. Preparing and administering weekly and monthly payrolls. Distributing online payslips and documents. Administering PAYE and National Insurance deductions based on individual allowances. Managing mandatory deductions for student loans, SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, court orders, and other legislative responsibilities. Utilising knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). Summarising and analysing staff costs. Administering pension schemes, auto-enrolment, incentive schemes, bonuses, and termination payments. Submitting annual reports and tasks, including the final Full Payment Summary (FPS) and producing employee P60 forms. Submitting Employer Payment Summary (EPS) to reclaim statutory payments, CIS suffered, pay the apprenticeship levy, and claim employment allowances. Providing troubleshooting, support for client and team queries, and making instant corrections or changes. Ensuring all RTI submissions comply with HMRC regulations. Assessing the training needs of the payroll team, as required. Maintaining high service standards while building strong client relationships as a trusted contact. Championing the success of the payroll department and the overall business Key Skills/Experience Required: Practice experience Supervisory experience with people management Experience with Pay Circle and Sage Good communication skills and positive attitude when working clients and the team.
