Great Howarth School is an independent, co-educational specialist day school that offers high-quality education for pupils aged between 7-18 years with a range of complex needs including; ADHD, autism, speech, language & communication difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to find their next role, and work in a Primary School setting in an OFSTED graded 'GOOD' school in the Heywood area.
A successful applicant will have a Teaching Assistant qualification or higher and will have 12 weeks of experience working with children in a school setting.
You will be expected to cover class in the absence of a teacher, small group, and large group interventions in KS1 & KS2 settings.
Some experience working with children in schools or of a similar age is required.
A successful Teaching Assistant will have good experience working with Challenging Behaviour/ADHD/Autism and must be confident in supporting on a 1:1 and basis, inside and outside of a classroom setting.
You will also need some level of resilience due to the nature of the role.

This is a long-term position, commencing in September and set to last 2 terms.
Based at their Bury office this firm of Chartered Accountants has a really flexible working pattern; there is hybrid working, a 12 'o clock finish on a Friday and the opportunity to start work between 7am and 10am during the week if you want to avoid rush hours or have other commitments outside of work.
