We are working with a Local Authority who are looking for a Senior Highways and Transport Planner to assist for 3 months initially. Senior Highways and Transport Planner Duration: 3 Months Initially (Temp Perm option) Rate: Negotiable D.O.E (Inside IR35) via an Umbrella Company Hybrid Working Model 1 2 days onsite in Northampton Responsibilities: Support development and consultation on draft of the Local Transport Plan (a statutory document) by July 2024 Support development of Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan by September 2024 and its consultation Lead on development of smaller projects/ studies including walking and cycling corridors Support putting together a submission for the recently announced Local Transport Fund Support the development of the rebuild of the Northamptonshire Strategic Transport Model Requirements: Professional with transport planning or policy experience Knowledge of current transport planning policy practice and transport project development Project delivery Working as part of a team Project management skills Experience in strategy writing and public consultation If you are interested in the role, we would love to hear from you!
