Our client who are based on the outskirts of Thatcham, are currently recruiting for a Learning Centre Manager/ Librarian to join their business centre to manage the organisation and delivery of a range of activities and ensuring that the centre is run smoothly. Location:Thatcham, office based Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 34 weeks per year - term time only Salary:£40K (full time equivalent) Benefits:Pension, generous holiday allowance, free parking, and free meals Main duties & responsibilities: Advise on the strategy for learning resource provision and manage its implementation. Liaise with writers, agents, bookshops, and publishers to build a successful programme of author visits. Assist with the financial management of the budget of the centre. Supervise and guide students during their use of the centre. Provide physical and online learning resources in collaboration with senior academic staff. Manage the library management system. Support library lessons. Development and implementation of a whole school reading strategy. Many other duties, full job description available upon request. The successful Learning Centre Manager will have the following related skills/experience: Educated to degree level. Successful experience in a library or learning resource environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills This role could suit a qualified teacher looking to transition to a non-classroom role. Please note the business centre is open from 8am - 10pm and flexible working hours will be required to include some evenings and weekends as part of the team rota.
