Plumbing & Gas Lecturer Hourly Rate: £30-35 Location: East London Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract until June 2025 We are seeking a qualified Plumbing & Gas Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and gas, combined with teaching experience and industry knowledge. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to contribute to the development of skilled professionals in this field. Day-to-day of the role: Delivering structured lectures and practical sessions in plumbing and gas to a diverse range of students. Preparing lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards and learning outcomes. Assessing and evaluating student progress through assignments, tests, and practical assessments. Providing individual support and feedback to students to facilitate their academic and professional growth. Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress. Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve course content and teaching methods. Staying current with industry trends and advancements to ensure that teaching material is relevant and up-to-date. Required Skills & Qualifications: A qualified teacher with PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. LV2 & LV3 Plumbing qualifications. LV3 Gas qualifications. IV/IQA qualifications. Assessor Award Level 3. Proven teaching experience. Substantial industry experience. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff at all levels. Desirable Criteria: Experience of working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
