Kitchen Assistant Hourly Rate: £11.59 Location: Various within the City (LE2, LE3, LE5) Job Type: Part-time, 2-3 hours per day over lunchtime We are looking for enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our school catering teams across various key sites within the city. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting the delivery of healthy and enjoyable meals to students and who can thrive in a bustling kitchen environment. Day-to-day of the role: Assist with the preparation of simple dishes and the serving of meals to students. Help to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including washing up and cleaning surfaces and equipment. Support the kitchen staff with the receipt and storage of deliveries. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards at all times. Interact positively with students and school staff during service times. Required Skills & Qualifications: A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions. An understanding of food hygiene and safety practices, although training will be provided. Reliability and punctuality. Flexibility to work at different sites within the city as required.
