JOB TITLE: HR Communications Officer, Internal DEPARTMENT: Business Human Resources PAY RATE: £35,000 LOCATION: Office-based - Maidenhead MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB We are seeking an experienced HR Communications Officer to join our Business Human Resources department on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in planning, designing, creating, delivering, and reviewing internal communications content. You will be responsible for informing employees about the company's direction in a positive and professional manner through various mediums including newsletters, videos, and internal announcements. ACCOUNTABILITIES Internal Communications Strategy: Implement the internal communications strategy in collaboration with the CHRD and BAC where necessary. Content Creation and Delivery: Create and disseminate bespoke internal communications content, such as employee newsletters, fleet news, announcements, and email bulletins. Ensure consistency across all mediums and different sites/divisions. Email Communication: Track and plan email communications, managing multiple email addresses including BHR Comms, PRIDE, Wellbeing, and Engagement. Newsletter Production: Produce and disseminate a quarterly newsletter featuring diverse employee-centric content and maintain an archive. Fleet News: Produce and disseminate Fleet News publications, ensuring content is informative and archives are maintained. Wellbeing and Engagement: Support the Wellbeing and Employee Engagement (WEET) team lead in producing an annual strategy and organize UK-wide events. Public Affairs Liaison: Ensure internal communications are consistent with external communications. Employee Feedback: Respond to feedback from employees and review suggestions with the CHRD to improve internal communications. IT Proficiency: Utilize IT packages such as Adobe InDesign, Camtasia, and Premiere Pro to create custom content and review the market for suitable communication tools. Induction Support: Assist in delivering the Commercial Induction, including presenting to new employees and creating bios and video clips. Video Production: Create video clips with GM/Site Directors for divisional use. Site Familiarization: Implement a program to become familiar with company businesses, requiring travel (25% of time) to UK sites, regional meetings, and field accompaniment. Event Coordination: Manage HR-sponsored events throughout the year, including out-of-hours work. SharePoint Management: Manage the BHR SharePoint page and all digital internal HR systems for the CHRD. Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external vendors on costs, publication times, and content to ensure professional, accurate, and engaging publications. Additional Duties: Carry out other duties as required by the CHRD.
