Procurement Manager (Interim) Location: London Job Type: Full-time, Interim Salary: Competitive We are seeking an Interim Procurement Manager to join our Chief Operating Officer's team. This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing procurement processes, and delivering efficient procurements of works, services, and supplies. The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with commercial and delivery colleagues to identify best value opportunities and apply compliant and best practice procurement processes. Day-to-day of the role: Develop five-year forecasts of procurement requirements, strategies, category plans, and specific procurement plans for a defined asset or delivery area. Manage the procurement processes for competitive tendering, including supplier selection, pre-qualification, tendering, evaluation, and contract award. Lead risk assessments with subject matter experts to establish the safety and business criticality of the works, services, or products to be procured. Utilise e-procurement tools, templates, and standard forms of contract to maximise efficiency and control of the procurement process. Manage contract negotiations, including the formulation of negotiation parameters and analysis of commercial data. Prepare appropriate forms of contract to clarify price, deliverables, responsibilities, incentives, risks, and obligations. Maintain accurate and auditable records of procurement process compliance and ensure vital records are maintained and archived appropriately. Exercise procurement authority as delegated by the Commercial Director and maintain high levels of process probity. Required Skills & Qualifications: CIPS/RICS membership or eligibility for membership. Educated to degree level or equivalent. Sound knowledge of European and UK Procurement Law and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Good grasp of financial and procurement controls, processes, and systems. Proficient in Commercial Management, Procurement Management, Contract Management, Risk Management, Negotiation, Compliance, and Supplier Relationship Management. Experienced in planning and delivering procurements in an underground/railway environment, asset management business, or in a highly regulated industry with health and safety at its core.
