Our client is a new provider and operator of Ofsted registered children's homes with one overriding aim: To help the young people in our care to achieve the best life outcomes possible. They are passionate about creating great working environment where young people and colleagues can thrive. We are therefore looking for like-minded individuals to join the team as a pioneer Registered Manager. As Registered Manager, you will be part of the registration process and help establish and manage the first home, a 3 / 4 bed home for young people aged 8 - 17 with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs (SEMH) including those with mild Learning Disabilities (MLD). We are looking for a strong leader who can demonstrate successful previous achievements in an Ofsted-rated Good or Outstanding children's home. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the highest quality of care and support. Your experience will ideally come with the Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent or a full commitment to complete the qualification (financial support will be provided for this). Duties will include: - Working closely with the leadership team to drive successful registration with Ofsted including significant input into recruitment, systems, and policies & procedures. - Manage and oversee daily operations of the home. - Provide leadership and supervision to your team. - Develop and implement high-quality care plans and risk assessments to keep our children safe and happy. - Ensure compliance with Ofsted and Local Authority requirements. Skills and experience: - Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team. - Excellent organisational skills to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the home. - Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures. - Ability to supervise and train staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. JOB DETAILS Requirements: - Significant experience of working within a similar setting and managing Ofsted inspections. - Have preferably already obtained the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or are committed to achieving the qualification (financial support will be provided). - Ideally hold a full UK driving license. - Passion and commitment to making a positive difference to the lives of young people. - Resilient and strong communicator. - Proactive approach with ideas for continual improvements in all areas. Essential Personal Specifications - Proven verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare reports and budgets. - Excellent people and customer service skills - Good research skills, data analysis and the ability to translate complex data into a simple format.
