Temporary Business Support Assistant Reed is hiring a temporary Business Support Assistant on behalf of our client in the Birmingham area. Job Description: As a Business Support Assistant, you will efficiently and effectively conduct a wide range of scheduled and non-scheduled administrative tasks. As part of this role, you'll adhere to Business Management System and policies and procedures. Additionally, you'll support Business unit(s) in delivering contracts within quality, cost, and time constraints while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Key Accountabilities: Provide accurate, efficient, and timely delivery for all processed tasks. Perform data entry and recording/filing for contract-specific requirements. Maintain electronic filing systems for Business Support records. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including date stamping, weighing, franking, and distribution. Produce high-quality photocopies, scans, prints, and collated documents as directed. Process weekly payroll following payroll procedures using the coins system within required timescales. Manage stationery, office consumables, and first aid supplies. Process petty cash requests via a nominated team member of Business Support. Arrange meetings. Manage employee details, address changes, holiday, and sickness records. Raise materials, overhead, and stock orders, as well as sales invoices based on unit staff instructions. Collate monthly van cost allocation and process through coins within set deadlines. Escalate any challenges promptly to the Business Support Manager's attention. Attend weekly team meetings, rotating to volunteer taking minutes and circulation. Participate in training related to the job role or new specific ways of processing tasks. Experience Required: Intellectual Ability: 4 GCSEs, grade C or above or equivalent, including English and Maths. Prior Experience: Administrative work, customer care, team working. Personal Skills: Numerate and literate. Good interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and on the telephone). Proactive and positive.
