IT Operations Manager - Hybrid Working/ Luton - £80k - £90k Robert Half have partnered with a well know organisation spanning multiple industries based in Greater London. Due to growth they're looking to hire an experienced IT Operations Manager who will report to their Head of IT. The Role Working daily with the IT Support, Infrastructure & IT Data teams ensuring the performance, security, uptime, and availability of critical IT and operational services across various technologies. The IT Operations Manager will be responsible for the entire end-user system lifecycle, problem reduction, and timely incident and service request resolution. Key Responsibilities: Team Management: Lead and manage the IT support and infrastructure teams, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development. IT Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operation of IT systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. GDPR Compliance: Ensure that all IT operations and data management practices comply with GDPR regulations, including data protection, privacy, and security. Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders across the organization, including executives, department heads, and end-users. Project Management: Lead IT projects, from planning and implementation to monitoring and reporting, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. Skills & Experiences required A least 2 years of previous experience managing the day-to-day IT Operations of a medium to large, customer-facing organisation. Experience as a key contributor to a large-scale IT improvement programme and knowledge of the associated challenges, is essential. Experience in a regulated environment is beneficial Experience implementing or maintaining ISO and GDPR compliant procedures. Experience implementing IT Service Management best practices, ideally ITIL processes. Exceptional communication skills, comfortable managing relationships with multiple stakeholders simultaneously at various levels, both internal and external. A keen eye for detail, as one error can have a knock-on effect for thousands of passengers. Experience growing and mentoring IT Support teams. Knowledge of various ITSM products and how to maximise their usage. IT Operations Manager Chessington, Surrey to £60k Do you have a broad range of IT technical know-how combined with leadership skills? You could be progressing your career as IT Operations Manager for a reseller of IT equipment. As IT Operations Manager you will manage the IT Manager and will have oversight of the wider team (around 10 IT Support Engineers). You'll be responsible for setting the strategy for the IT department and ensuring high quality internal user support. The team have recently integrated Orderwise as an ERP solution, you'll assist with any ongoing teething issues, liaising with the vendor and will assess and recommend new technologies going forward. You will manage and prioritise the teams' tasks and seek improvement of communication channels with the business in a role where you can make a real impact, shaping and driving process improvements.
