Assistant Finance Manager £35,000, Hailsham (outskirts), Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Holiday, Parking, Pension, medical insurance, life assurance The Role Our client, a long-established ecommerce brand, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Finance Manager to join their business. This brand-new role, sitting as part of a small finance team and reporting to the Finance Manager, will see the Assistant Finance Manager focusing on cashflow/working capital management, managing banking facilities and conducting supplier payment runs. The role will be varied and interesting, and in a constantly evolving environment. Producing weekly cash flows for presentation to stakeholders, with a continuous review of forecasting to improve accuracy. Managing working capital to meet operational requirements. Monitoring and managing the bank accounts to adhere to overdraft limits & ensure loan repayments are made on time. Monitoring and managing the Invoice Finance facility and requesting drawdowns. Monitoring and managing the Trade Finance facilities, setting up Trade Finance payments to suppliers. Producing payment runs and setting up GBP & FX payments. Posting bank transactions to Sage 200. Month end cashbook reconciliations Supporting & overseeing the Accounts Assistant & Sales Ledger Supervisor, and monitoring the integrity of the Sales & Purchase Ledgers Stakeholder engagement i.e., HMRC, Bankers, Directors & key Manufacturing & Distribution suppliers Assisting with month end Balance Sheet reconciliations Assisting with Audit Requirements The successful Assistant Finance Manager will either be qualified by experience or hold a recognised accounting qualification. You will especially have great Cashflow Forecasting / treasury management experience. Solid IT skills, including intermediate/advanced Excel and an ability to pick up software packages is essential. You will be a great communicator and have fantastic organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Due to the location of the company, you will need your own transport. Proficient in project management, budgeting, and financial analysis. Familiarity with design processes and creative industries is a plus.
