We are seeking a HR Consultant for our Education client based in Stockton on an initial 7 month contract paying between £31,900 to £40,500 great benefits depending on experience.
This role allows flexible working & hybrid working.
We are working with a London Council to find an experienced HR Consultant to take on a project type role which amongst other things will require you to carry out a cleanse of the organisations legacy terms and conditions and identify any issues that could relate to contractual matters.
Its expected that this will be around 6 months work that requires someone with a strong HR background perhaps at HR Manager / Head of HR level that can influence other departments, such as Payroll, with any changes or actions that need to be taken.
Its a really important piece of work to lead on that will have an organisation wide impact.
The post holder will proactively manage an individual caseload of employee relations and attendance management cases including complex and sensitive casework, supporting managers in undertaking employee relations investigations and hearings, attendance management meetings, capability meetings and other procedures of the Council whilst liaising with managers, employees and trade union representatives to seek resolution of HR/workforce issues, recommending action or support as appropriate.
The post holder will provide Human Resources support and day to day advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of policies and employment law to managers and employees ensuring that council policies and procedures are followed appropriately.
The post holder will carry out analysis and interpretation of different types of data from a variety of sources and produce management information as required using the metrics to proactively identify issues, trends and effective solutions.
This is a key role supporting the HR Business Partner to deliver high level specialist HR advice, guidance and operational support to managers and employees ensuring that council policies and procedures are followed appropriately.
Undertaking projects at either a corporate or service level to deliver workforce solutions and support the HRBP in the delivery of Workforce Plan objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in a similar role.
You will be working 25 hours per week across 5 days and a minimum of 4 days will be office based.
