Purpose of role To work closely with the Head of HR to administrate HR and Talent activities and ensure processes are correctly followed, are accurate and support all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Roles and responsibilities Ensure operational HR and Talent activities and processes are correctly followed and are accurate Administrate all aspects of the employee life-cycle e.g. starters, leavers, promotions etc. Undertake all necessary employment checks via third party screening organisation Support in the administration of the Recruitment process, updating all internal and external platforms keeping up to date with current vacancies Administer the onboarding process for all new starters, managing travel for new employees, work with department heads for meet and greet sessions, and undertake induction process Support in the administration of the Payroll and Pension process The post holder is required to understand and demonstrate the ability to work flexibly for the benefit of the HR team and for the business and to take on new projects and initiatives that are considered to fall within the duties and responsibilities of the job role. Work collaboratively with all levels of the business to support business vision and values. Provide high levels of customer service to all Stakeholders Update Policies, Procedures and Employee Handbook where requested and manage the HR site on SharePoint Administrate and Assist in all HR and Talent related training activities Monday to Friday - hybrid working (at least three days in the office in Segensworth Junc 9 M27). We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor / HR professional to work as part of a large team providing comprehensive HR service to managers. Initial temporary contract to End of August 2024 but with scope for a longer-term contract to March 2025. You will be supporting and working with managers across departments with proactive HR advice and guidance on a range of employer-relations case work and potentially supporting change, redundancy, restructuring and consultation. Candidates will require solid employee relations experience. This will include: - public sector working experience - supporting managers with transformation and restructuring - supporting and advising on high risk casework - employer relations - grievance, disciplinary, performance, sickness, absence etc. - experience with Trade Unions The Offer This role is offered on an initial temporary contract via Hays weekly time sheets with the initial contract to the 30th August 2024. The contract, however, has the potential for a further extension until March 2025. Hybrid working / based in Southampton City Centre (near public transport links - train/bus.) Full time is 37 hours per week, it may be possible to review hours and flexibility is given to start and finish times.
